MAND Prototype (2023)
Games are intuitive to a certain extent. Sure we have VR games that allow your full body to be in control. We know the classic controller style– D pad to the left, ABXY to the right, and some thumbsticks to go with them. What if we made custom controllers? One the user could easily manipulate on their own for their own liking? Gone are the boring old thumbsticks, arrow keys, and buttons– why not use something inconvenient or unusual? This project challenges the classic gamepad interface and the companies who use it to bring on the discussion of making new controllers for games. The story encapsulates the feelings of inescapable dread and meandering of life along with the insanity that is your own mind.
